I missed the title my first look and I saw Becho on it and did a double take. Then I realized it was forced relationships.

In order to make that relationship more believable, they would have needed to pull out some absolutely kick-ass writing after what they had Echo do in seasons 3 and 4. And they didn't do that, so it's no wonder it fell flat to so many people. Plus, it didn't help that it was so easily and visibly contrastable to Bellarke, who had the superior writing (at least in the first 6 seasons) and the crackling chemistry.

Honestly, I really feel like Bellarke is the only well-written relationship of this show. I ended up really liking Marper, but it was still a little bit of insta-love. Kabby became a bit of a chore to get through from season 5 onward. Clexa had potential but was too rushed in season 3 for me to really buy into what they tried to sell to us since then. Linctavia, looking back . . . more insta-love. Levtavia . . . insta-love. Jordan and Hope . . . okay, I haven't seen one of their scenes together, but didn't they only have a handful of scenes together? Mackson were kept in the background constantly and never given the chance to thrive. And Memori . . . okay, Memori was pretty good, I have to give them that one.

Bellarke are hands down the best written and fleshed out relationship on the show. I support Marper and Memori but they have less substance compared to BC and it did all happen pretty fast with both pairings, compared to Bellarke, which was clearly a slow, slow burn.

They just had the most history, the best connection, the best development. It was tangible and you watched them fall in love...while every other Clarke ship was forced at us.

Exactly, it's just frustrating to see this amazing ship RIGHT THERE and it not being canon while every other (weaker/badly developed) ship is forced down our throats.

Couldn’t agree more. Sigh. And no one in the cast will ever admit that Bellarke were IT. Well, maybe Bob will, but he would get so hated on.

It's less of a taboo word now but it's still ridiculous to me as to how Bellarke cannot be brought up without some people getting pissy and superbly annoyed by them. It's almost like BC was a threat to certain canon ships, even though some try to claim otherwise.

I am forever bitter. It went to waste.

The cast don't watch the show the way fans do. As fans, we watch the show for years and and we watched it more than once. We know the show. We know the storyline. We know the characters.

Yeah. And as bad as I feel for us, I feel worse for Bob and Eliza. Because they completely nailed that relationship and brought so much to their characters, both individually and together. All to have it thrown back in their faces.

It'll be interesting to see if any of them change their tune about anything now that the show is over and the network isn't telling them what to say. I don't have high hopes for it, but . . . you never know.
