I’m excited for the episode (bittersweet since there are only two left), but I’d be more excited if I felt like we were going to get some Bellarke scenes. Unfortunately, I feel like they’ll be separated all episode again. I also anticipate that Spacekru will reunite, or at least Bellamy will reunite with them, which means I need to brace myself for some Becho, probably a kiss. Just have to get myself ready to deal with this. I don’t know. We’ll see. |

There hasn't really been much Becho this season, so I think you've done well, April
I am, of course, excited for some Becho but honestly, I just love Echo scenes with everyone, I don't think it matters who, I just love Echo. Really hoping for some big death scenes this episode, love a dramatic death scene I hope the season finale promo is decent. __________________

I think some character reduction would be fine at this point.
I'd clearly be fine losing Echo and Gaia, though I don't think either one of them will die. (I actually feel really confident Echo is going to survive this season.) I'd be fine losing Octavia, Miller, Abby, Niylah, maybe Shaw. |

I’m fine losing all those, except Echo.
I could also live without Kane, Emori and Harper. __________________

Well, I think Twitter is a mess tonight. I might just mute everyone but Logan and Conageddon, tbh. Simplify my life a whole ****ing lot. I am NOT doing this Twitter thing for season 6. It’s been awful. (Legit, I am starting to get worried for season 6’s viewership, though. If Bellarkers don’t have some hope heading into season 6, I really feel like some will leave the fandom. And while I won’t do that . . . between what certain cast members have said and the angst and Becho, I’ll admit that this season has been one thing after another. I do understand why some of them feel like they’ve just been repeatedly kicked while they’re down. But some of them are out there acting like the very fanbase they’ve criticized in the past. Or at least a subset of that fanbase. It’s embarrassing behavior.)
I’m not sure why some people are more upset by this episode than 5x06. Maybe just because we only have one episode left now, and back then we had a lot. It wasn’t my favorite episode, but there was some stuff I liked in it. I loved all of Bellamy’s scenes, especially how he stood up to Octavia (while ironically lying down), and how he told her this was her fault, not his. He was willing to give her up, too. Wow. Interesting parallel that both Bellamy and Clarke gave up their person in this ep. And despite how much I’ve hated Octavia this season, I thought her final scene in the ep was amazing. Her shouting, “You are Wonkru or you are the enemy of Wonkru!” while shooting that gun was powerful stuff. I was wishing Gaia had died, but Bellamy had to come through with his motivational speaking again. I liked the small Memori smile. I was even feeling Raven and Shaw a bit more tonight. The Becho was pretty minimal. I actually didn’t mind Clarke’s talk with her, because I loved her reaction to finding out Bellamy was still alive. AND I loved Clarke reminding Echo of the blood on her hands, too, as I feel a lot of that has been glossed over. The “Lexa” thing . . . I’m sorry, I think it’s weird. I’ll always think it’s weird. Those may be Lexa’s memories, but Lexa’s not real. And to have Madi channeling those memories is still a little icky to me. I also wish the show would . . . I don’t know how to say this. Lexa wasn’t perfect. She made mistakes, too. The Mount Weather betrayal was arguably one of her biggest ones. So I didn’t like hearing Clarke justify it, especially when it caused her to have to kill 300 people. However . . . I did rewatch that scene, and I guess the intention is for Madi to point out that that betrayal was Lexa’s biggest regret, and it parallels what Clarke is doing, and Clarke now won’t have that same regret of leaving Bellamy to fend for himself. So . . . good lord, is “Lexa” helping bring Belllarke back together? Well, she always was a Bellamy fan girl. And really, after everything she’s done, Clarke finally let Madi go. To save Bellamy. Nobody will convince me that wasn’t just to save Bellamy. She doesn’t give a damn about Octavia or Wonkru. There’s ONE PERSON on that side of the battle who would be her “biggest regret.” Oh, random, but I loved Murphy and the gun, too. Unsurprisingly, my issues with the episode stem from Echo. I just don’t think the show has really benefitted from showing us a lot of the Spacekru scenes primarily through her point of view, as it’s a point of view that people either are opposed to or find difficult to understand. (Of course, I know this isn’t true for everyone. I know she has fans, and I don’t blame her fans for loving her in this episode.) But she said she should have killed Clarke, even knowing that Bellamy cares about Clarke, but Clarke wouldn’t let Echo be killed, probably for Bellamy. This just speaks to the difference in their characters, to me, and is one of the reasons why I root for one over the other. And her lecturing Clarke about betrayal when she betrayed Bellamy multiple times . . . like come on. I get why she’s upset, but it doesn’t make me like her any more. Clarke actually kind of pissed me off this episode, too, and I haven’t felt as connected to her these past three episodes as I did earlier on in the season. I can admit that she hasn’t been perfect lately, either. But I find it strange that they’ve gone out of their way to paint her as being wrong when I felt like they did such a good job showing her POV earlier in the season. It also doesn’t help that I feel like they’re trying to make Echo look good at the expense of Clarke looking bad. And Princess Mechanic . . . poor Princess Mechanic. So yeah, I guess those are my issues, but there were good things, too. |

As long as my favourites survive, I'm fine with that.
This was a better episode than the last, but I still feel pretty indifferent to this season as a whole, this one included. At least, this one had better emotional scenes. __________________

You weren’t indifferent in those first few episodes, though, Sarah.
I’m not sure where to rank this episode. Hmm . . . 5x03 5x08 5x04 5x10 5x05 5x01 5x12 5x09 5x11 5x07 5x02 5x06 Yeah, I’ll go with that. |

I'm going to write up my summary tomorrow and reply to stuff
It's been a little stressful lately cause I feel so isolated in my opinions, I'm all alone in my Echo and Clexa love __________________

And see, I feel like I can’t express my dislike for Echo without someone attacking me for it or just thinking I’m a crazy, angry Bellarke shipper who’s got my blinders on. (Well, not here. I can say anything here. This board is so . . . simple. )
If it helps at all, I’ve softened my views on Clexa a bit now that I’ve endured Becho. I’ll also add that, having thought about it, I don’t think they used that scene to justify Lexa’s actions anymore, as Madi did say that it was her biggest regret. Implying that it was in fact a mistake. I do think it’s a bit weird that they would basically have Clarke explain why she did that when it ultimately caused Clarke to have to pull that Mount Weather lever, but nope, it wasn’t swept under the rug as justification. So that’s good. Was it Raven or Echo who said the “mother of the year” line? Whichever one of them it was . . . I really didn’t like that. |
