I think I have 11.5 work days left. We don’t get a very long break, I feel. They work us right up through the 22nd.

I start my leave on 22nd of December too.

Can't wait for the weekend.

My bestie's back in town so I'm seeing her on Saturday.

And am meeting up with friends tomorrow night too ... going to actually leave the office on time (hopefully) for once.

Sounds very nice, Sarah! I'm still debating whether to go ~home~ and see friends on the 23rd. I should, but I'd really only get to spend one night and then come right back up the next day, and that's a lot of driving for such a short trip. At the same time, I usually see them only once or twice a year, so...

Wish they could come visit me instead. :lo:

I'm gonna miss those, too.

I think that I'll still have them next year, but considering that's when I'll be student teaching, I'll still have that during my break. Just won't have my credential classes, as far as I know.

Student teaching is . . . hectic. I always say it’s like working the full-time job but not getting paid for it.

The fact that you can't really work a paying job during that time sucks too.

Ahh hope that works out for you then and that your friends can come to visit you instead. It really is a long trip just for one day.

Oh my god, yes. That’s why I think student teachers should get paid.

Do you have to take any classes in conjunction with your student teaching? I think we just had to do one.
