Indeed, but I think it's cultural because here in Brazil no tongue kisses between couples are not really a thing, they just seem odd (and fake). Like, I remember watching Friends and after Ross and Rachel kiss, Joey (I think) asks him if there was tongue, and my friends and I were like 'how is that even a question?'
