It was never about Bellamy and Clarke becoming a canon couple. I mentally prepare for disappointment concerning every couple I ship. The potential is always there that I won’t be happy when all is said and done. Though I haven’t watched, it was more about the calculated steps that seemed to be made by the writers to tear them down. It’s one thing to not make them a couple, that’s fine, but to try and rip them to shreds piece by piece is a whole other thing.

The core of every relationship built over the past four seasons was what made the show beautiful. That other stuff with surviving doesn’t work without it. I loved watching to see how far our characters would be pushed for the lives of their friends. From what I can tell, those relationships barely matter anymore. From an outside perspective, season 5 has turned everyone into selfish beings. I don’t like it. That may be wrong but that’s the feeling I get.

Bellamy and Clarke’s relationship reached its lowest low in season 5, no doubt, but I wouldn’t say that they were ripped to shreds at all. The ending of the season actually has me feeling really hopeful about what their relationship can be li’e from now on.

Clarke/Abby was odd this season.
Bellamy/Octavia was painful and made me infuriated with Octavia, but it worked and allowed Bellamy some great development.
Clarke/Spacekru members besides Bellamy . . . lacking.
Clarke/Octavia . . . um, no.
Bellamy/Indra was unexpectedly great.
Bellamy/Monty was great.
Clarke/Madi/Bellamy all holds us a lot of promise.
Bellamy/Echo was the darkest cloud.

That’d be my opinion on the season 5 relationships, I suppose.

That’s disgusting. I wouldn’t even say that about a fictional character, let alone a real person. I hope that that person just meant the character (even that’s pretty gross, though).

That tweet about Tasya is disgusting! No matter how I feel about her/her character, that is uncalled for. I do side eye some things she's done/said but that is still not acceptable, of course.

Just really annoyed with people right now, you can be a fan of something and still acknowledge that there were mistakes made and that people have a right to be frustrated.

Supporting something blindly doesn't make you a better fan than others, just saying.

I think if you can acknowledge the flaws in your ships it takes that power away from others, I'm under no illusions about some of my ships, but I still ship them regardless.

I agree. Like Clarke pointing that gun at Bellamy in 4x11 . . . that was a low. What happened between them in 5x09 was also a low.

And then I sit here acknowledging a whole bunch of flaws with Delena, which might just be one of the unhealthiest dynamics I've ever shipped.

I think if the good outweighs the bad for you, that’s all that matters. And how boring would it be if our ships were flawless?

I loved Delena also, even though they were pretty toxic at times, their love was so passionate and intense, I couldn’t help think how amazing it would be having someone love me the way they loved each other.

We all have our reasons why we ship what we ship, those reasons are intangible. Like love itself, you can’t help which ships you fall for.

As for Bellarke, for me they’re pretty healthy. Season 5 wasn’t the best for them in showing that but you need to consider the world they live in. Imagine just how hard it would be to maintain a healthy relationship in that story world all the time, you’re bound to hit major obstacles but when you love someone that much, you can overcome anything together and they will.
