Yes! TFTNT, April. I'm not 100% sure if I think this is the best Bellamy season but it's definitely very high up there.
What will we do in this thread exactly, though? Specific season 4 discussions, mostly? __________________

TFTNT!
Season 4 was definitely a stand out for Bellamy, I can't decide whether I preferred him in this season or season 1. I guess I'd rank it: 1. Season 1&4 2. Season 2 3. Season 3 __________________

I think I'd go:
Season 4 Season 2 Season 1 Season 3 But only season 3 is set in stone here __________________

I already put mine in his thread on The 100 board, but mine is slightly obscure.
Season 4 Season 1 Season 3 Season 2 Don't get me wrong, I love him in season 2, and it's definitely the easiest season to be a Bellamy fan. But I love how, even though it was uncomfortable, season 3 was thought-provoking. If we were going with straight-up likability, then yeah, Season 2 is probably at the top. But yeah, Season 4 is just my all-around favorite Bellamy BY FAR. Sarah, I just started this thread because we were in need of a Season 4 thread. We already have threads for the other seasons. |

Favourite Bellamy scenes/episode?
I'll need to think about this myself but acting-wise, my favourite was when Bellamy found out Octavia died. This scene was so heartbreaking but Bob nailed it. {x} A runner-up would be Bellamy in the rover when he couldn't reach the dad/son (forgot their names). It was subtle but Bob conveyed so many emotions. Anger, guilt, remorse, coming to terms with not being able to help. __________________

Acting-wise, the 4x07 rover scenes jump out to me, too. I found it so impressive that he could convey so much when, really, it's just him in that scene. He's not really talking to that father/son or Kane on the radio. He's just sitting there in the rover and has to sell it. And with the scenes being filmed so close up, it's so important for the emotion to be authentic. It's an awesome performance.
I also loved him in 4x11. His anger, desperation, determination . . . it was all so palpable. And of course the finale. The whole cast brought their A-games there, but Bob had some emotionally climactic material to anchor there. |

April, oops yeah ... I had forgotten that we had separate threads for the seasons in the past. My bad. I love those two scenes you listed, Paulina. Top notch acting by Bob particularly in that jail scene ... you could feel all the emotions that he was going through in that moment; from brief denial to acceptance and then grief. I remember seeing a meme for that ... "When you're on a CW show but deliver an Oscar performance." Amazing. And I agree with the walkie talkie scene too, amazing work there considering that he's by himself in that scene and has to convey all the frustration/helplessness that Bellamy is feeling in that moment. Also, how his voice cracked when he told Octavia that he loved her in 4x11. __________________

You know what else was a really small but powerful acting moment in this season? When he visits his wounded sister in 4x06 before going on the fuel transport trip with Roan and Clarke and says, "You gave us a scare" and then proceeds to be completely shut down be her coldness. His voice was so soft and a little shaky there. It broke my heart.
Marie was great in that scene, too, though the emotion she got out of me was a much angrier one. |

Bellamy was by far the most perfect character this season. He made this season for me. __________________

Same, Becks, same. I sensed early on that I was going to love season four Bellamy. I wonder if the writers paid special attention to his storylines after the pacing problems of season three. |

Jason loves Bellamy so I reckon he took extra care of the character after his "assassination" in season 3. Nonetheless S3 happened and I wouldn't change it for the world. Sometimes a character needs to go backward before going forward, I love those kind of characters, they keep me on my toes.
I'm excited to see what direction S5 Bellamy goes in relation to S4 Bellamy. __________________

I feel the same, Becks. It will never be comfortable or fun to watch my favorite character make the choices he did in season three, but I still see some value in the storyline. And I do think it helps, too, knowing how season three really paves the way for everything that he becomes in season four.

It also shows that Bellamy is a human being and human beings make mistakes. If the character was unflawed and perfect, it wouldn't make for compelling TV and we'd all be bored.
I like characters who make mistakes, it helps me feel closer and more connected to them. It makes them touchable. __________________
