If Lexa, dead for 6 years, brings Bellarke back together . . . oh my. She always fangirled over Bellamy, though, so are we surprised? Not really.

For me, the Lexa/Clarke “scene” was about closure on the Mt Weather thing, I didn’t see it as justification, it was Lexa not wanting Clarke to make the same mistake as her. And Lexa not wanting Clarke to turn her back on Bellamy, and the show basically confirmed that Clarke loves Bellamy the same way Lexa loves Clarke. Which we always knew, but still.

I do also think all the Clexa mentions have been fan service which I am 100% fine with, Jason is obsessed with Lexa, the fact she’s mentioned 10x more than any other dead character is proof of that.

Yeah, it’s very fan servicey, but I don’t even know if it’s Jason being obsessed with her so much as it is Jason wanting to try to grab back viewers or something. I think that, with everything we have to cover with the characters who are still alive, a mention has no place in the finale, but we’ll see.

Having rewatched and thought about that scene, though, I do agree that it wasn’t justification. (Posted about that in the episode thread last night, actually.) And the scene did have more Bellarke undertones than I initially realized.

The flame will never not be weird to me, and I do hope it is destroyed due to plot holes (just read a review that outlines all the plot holes) and due to my desire to see Madi just be a kid again, but the moment was a nice moment of closure for Clexa fans.

So Echo and “Lexa” are going to reunite Bellarke this season, it seems. That is . . . not what I was expecting, but I’ll take anything I can get at this point.

Okay, question: Hadn’t the Flame begun to degrade over time? And that was why Lexa didn’t know it was an AI?

Yet Madi knows it’s an AI, and we’re going to be expected to believe that it hasn’t degraded further after 125 years of a person in cryosleep, I’m sure.

I feel the flame is done, it has to be. New planet, 125 years later. Surely that’s enough for a fresh start? They aren’t the natives of this planet, therefore their culture, creed and laws won’t pass there?

Especially if there’s life there.
