I pitied the poor animals all the time. If the humanity was good they would just have brought them to another island to survive. But look at the people doing everything for war and money. The message of the movie was strong

You're right the storyline wasn't surprising at all and there was also no big turning point or anything. However I enjoyed the action scenes and CGI plus the message. But I think we both agree that the first movie in 2016 was much better

I still think the 2nd one was the worse ever. Meaning the original 3...that 2nd one was just awful
