anyways guys i need to tell you something. i decided to break up with my boyfriend. he can't handle the distant relationship and is constantly bothering me with his stuff. he is not really understanding what a big opportunity my new job is, and he is being selfish. he is not happy i am successful, he constantly complains i have no time for him. i understand him but from my point of view i need to focus and he is stopping me. so yeah, we haven't broken up yet but i will do it before Christmas probably this week. i just need also more time for myself, for my friends, for my sister and family. everytime i am driving home i need to split myself and it's not a relaxed time even if i should enjoy weekends.

i should be sadder than i am but i really think it's for the best - for me anyways it is.

I'm sorry to hear Tina A breakup is never easy. Especially not being in a distand relationship. But you need to do what is best for you and it sounds like he is stopping you. So do what's best for you

I agree. You need to do what is best for you. And I think the fact that you aren't as sad as you thought you would be, should help you in knowing it is the right thing to do.

Agree, if you don't feel very sad it means there is not much love involved so it shouldn't be that difficult, I hope at least. The one time I had a girlfriend we also split due to distance, I got to know her on holiday, but she lived in germany, but not in my city, so over some time it got difficult and we decided to end it. Since then I'm single now for a long time.

thanks for your support guys and listening to me i am not super sad or something. i just want it to be "over" so i can start a new chapter and continue with my life. it's been a burden for too long now. just finding the right words and not being too insensitive...that's rough.

Good luck, Tina. Initiating a breakup is tough, but it is better to do it now and not drag it out. I was in the same boat, and I was not too sad about it, sad to say. But I feel so much better now that I don't feel obligated to spend so much time hanging out and forcing myself into dealing with someone's feelings when they can be overwhelming on top of everything else.

Yeah, a few weeks ago now. It was tough but I'm glad I got it done and over with instead of waiting. But I wish you the best with it, it's not easy to do.

Yeah I'm definitely a trekkie.

Though I sometimes really miss a relationship I can really confirm that, it's much easlier bing single and it also makes me hesitant to some degree to try out a new relationship.
