Cool, it was initially said she would appear on arrow, but nice to see she gets her own show after all. So far I really like the writing on black lighting (Ok I know it has other writers, but is still conisdered part of the arrowverse) and legends of tomorrow, so I hope they won't ruin this one.

Not fully no, but andrew kreisberg and berlanti are part of the production team and may at some point do a crossover, just not in the next season for sure. Aside of this I think the writing on LoT is pretty decent after all. Either way the batgirl show could need some of the black lighting writers helping out.

Batwoman Is Kate Kane, and there have been a few batgirl, Barbara Gordon, or batwomans niece Betty kane being a few. mostly they have the same powers. but batwoman is a lesbian, and who doesn't want to stop lesbian erasure, which is why they are not interchangeable

Hopefully we either get a new world maggie sawyer, even though floriana was perfect. Or we get a Renee montoya

Batgirl could make an appearance on the show (rather than batman) to support batwoman every now and then in the same way superman appeared on supergirl.
