Create a separate art with a smaller file size.
Link the small photo into the post as the image.
Link the full size on the photo, so when you click on the small one it links to big one.

That sounds like a lot of work I think for regular picture posting it's easier to just post the regular pic link.

Creating a thumbnail really isn't that hard. You just need two image files & links. Then just use the following code:

[URL=LINK TO THE LARGE IMAGE][IMG]LINK TO THE SMALL IMAGE[/IMG][/URL]

It can be quite handy when trying to post larger images so you can still easily share the bigger version
