He didn't. He, chambliss and goldberg are still in charge of this show and you see it with their sexist attidute on the show, they just hired some writers and don't write themselves. Beyond is way too female centric to be written by gimple & co. Gimple just co-wrote the pilot episode of beyond all other eppies are written by people of colour/women actually. It may not be very exiting, but it's very diverse.

But gimple is overseeing all twd related projects that is true. I also think the crap that came to fear and the sexism had less to do with gimple than actually with the ther two producers goldberg and chambliss who also wrote most of season 4 and 5. But they also still produce season 6 despite not writing, so they set the male centric tone in the new season still.

I think Gimple is more occupied with the spin off and thus let's thing on Fear give away other people who are better than him.

Me and my hubby are also enjoying this season so much more and are more motivated to watch at the start of the new week but we both are missing Alicia.

I'm finally up to date and this season is really not as bad as I assumed before

But new writers can write as good as they want, when chamblis and goldberg continue their sexist agenda on their show the show will never be really good.
