Negan has joined the Whisperers, he is Alpha's boy-toy (gross ) now and gives her advice on how to deal with Daryl and Michonne's survivors and the Alexandria Alliance communities. Carol has become a loose cannon and gone off her rocker a bit, and no one knows what she thinks now, including Daryl. he doesn't trust her anymore. Michonne took off with a stranger to Tangier Island to get some supposed heavy weapons to deal with Alpha's walker horde, called The Nuke in the comic source material.

Negan tells Alpha to cut down trees blocking all the roads to Hilltop and Alexandria (The Kingdom burned to the ground in the Season 9 finale), just like he did in Season 7, and the survivors and children are trapped inside as the hundred thousand walkers of the horde approach led by Alpha, Beta, and Negan. Negan wants Alpha to trap the community people and force them to submit and become part of the Whisperers, she agrees but then tells Negan she will kill them all and make them part of her walker horde, thus still part of her Whisperers in a manner of speaking. Negan is shocked but hides it under his walker mask.

Beta uses catapults and sets fire to Hilltop with pine tree-sap firebombs launched by the catapults and huge slingshots, trapping the Survivor warriors outside the gates of Hilltop, as the huge walker horde comes across the barriers into the town. the whole place is burning, eerily similar to Kingdom in Season 9, and only Alexandria is left. Alpha doesn't know about Oceanside because it is too far way and by the sea, her Whisperers don't like the coast and stay inland.

Hilltop is burning and everyone is trapped as we wait for Episode 4...
