Maybe that was some compromise with AMC due to the fan backlash. Keep the writers, but remove morgan. Sounds like a bad deal though, I'd have preferred keeping morgan, but with much better writers.

Is Morgan dead? I very much doubt whether anyone cares. He’s better off dead. His altruistic sanctimony has infected the whole show. It is beyond embarrassing.
