I started to believe AMC is moving to wrapping up this franchise. With Morgan going to FTWD I'm starting to assume that they are trying to bring both groups together for one final conflict. Negan will probably die and then the last two seasons will be a way different adaption of Alexandria (Rick) versus The Whisperers (Madison) and it will be way different because of what just happened. Then the series is over. I just cannot make sense out of any of this. But yeah this thought just crossed my mind.

why not? they're gonna have that helicopter end up being the Proctors or something and that'll be how Morgan crosses over to Fear, and we'll probably get an inside look at how the Whisperers came to be before the groups eventually collide.

I think Morgan will leave during the second half of the season and we'll see where he went on Fear. Then it'll reconnect in season 9?

I found the TWD midseason finale to be written really bad in parts. I mean the saviors after having been mostly killed and inprisoned with 100s of walkers, suddenly came out as if it was nothing and again have as many soldiers as in season 7??? That makes no sense at all. In the comics this is written better for sure. Also rick has negan on the ground and doesn't kill him...smh.

FTWD is written much more realistic. I like it more than TWD.

i am very much over TWD. i also stopped watching or let me say it differently, i watch only from time to time.

i also like the dialogues and writing in FTWD better. it's much more real, the characters are more realistic and their way of acting makes more sense to me.

i remember the days when people wanted Erikson gone from FTWD and even some fans wanted Gimple or a new showrunner. then Erikson did get removed but he gave us an awesome season 3 and people didn't want him gone anymore. funny how it seems tables have turned.

I suppose an earlier release makes sense given how the season started filming in early November (whereas Season 3 started filming in late December). Still, it kinda worries me about how rushed the production might be. Season 2 had a March release as well and the rushed production blatantly showed in the writing. Part of what made Season 3 so great was that, because it wasn't being released until June, the writers were allowed to spend more time polishing the scripts.

hmm well the rest of TWD season 8 comes back at the end of february so it'll run through march and april. i would expect FTWD to come back in may or june...
but maybe with Morgan going to FTWD, they might air a few back to back on sundays as a kind of promotion?
