It would be hilarious if they had the entire cast of FTWD show up in TWD as a pack of walkers. They all get put down and there is no mention of anything else about it. Then it would just be a "guess they don't make it" moment.

And I think that's the case. I don't think we'll see someone from FTWD crossover to TWD. TWD is in the future so that would give away their character's fate in FTWD. I think that we can be 99% sure that someone from TWD will crossover to FTWD and we'll see some of the character's backstory shown in FTWD.

I have a feeling it will be a totally original character or characters designed to bridge the gap. Introduced sometime in the second half of TWD season 8, then earlier version of the character(s) join the cast for FTWD season 4, head off at the end of FTWD s4 and settle in their normal slot back on TWD in s9.
