It took the main Show 7 seasons to move 2 Years. So Gimple is just gonna throw 7 Seasons worth of development down the drain for Fear? Why exactly would he do this?

it's not actually been confirmed to be a jump as of yet. i know the timeline isn't very open, but until we have concrete official information, we can only hope for the best.

On the other hand I loved season three especially all of the Clark's developments of their dark pasts. I would feel so robbed because it would be extremely difficult for them to pull off successfully.

I am just as pissed about them throwing away all the progress from season three and make it a clone. The only thing I can think that might make this work is if they learn from the other show’s mistakes and take advantage of not having the comic dictate everything.

I think the best way to see how much he is screwing up will be if Ruben Blades just passes on returning. It was becoming a really great show and it was different. If he comes back and he fires the writers that made last season so good I bet there might be an exodus.

How did this time jump rumor start? Was there an announcement somewhere that I missed (other than the Morgan announcement, which doesn't need a time jump to work)?

because in TWD, they are approximately 2 years ahead of where FTWD is now and someone (Gimple?) said that Morgan's CURRENT storyline sets up his crossover...so logically, he would separate from TWD in their current timeline, but (since he is already confirmed for season 4 of FTWD) any scenes he would be in would be at least 2 years in the future, so FTWD would have to do a time jump...although they could do a time jump and a bunch of back filler episodes to explain stuff i guess.

However I'm 100% sure gimple won't admit Morgan doesn't make it through the season, and that's why he's being promoted to a better show.

I just didn't take what he said that way at all. I thought he was saying that because the character's storyline in TWD is ending then the actor was free to do FTWD, not that his FTWD scenes followed on from his TWD scenes.

you could definitely be right but its a tight timeline if they make Morgan go all the way out west and come back sometime earlier and then (absent the deleted scene) never mention any of it to anyone.

I am still in denial about the time jump. Out of all the directions the show can go, a time jump is absolutely the worst one. I very much liked the fact that this was a story of an earlier outbreak, I liked that there was still a surprise element for the characters in the post apocalyptic world. Remember how Alicia and others reacted when that big horde invaded the ranch? They were not expecting it to be so numerous. What I mean is that for TWD characters big hordes of zombies aren’t even that surprising anymore. But in FTWD post apocalyptic world can still surprise the characters. I don’t think it is going to be the case after a time jump if it happens, and FTWD will lose one of its main promises.

Also for the character Morgan - I can't say I hate him. I've pretty much enjoyed the Eastman episode and his transformation, but I can't imagine him in FTWD nor that I care about him being in FTWD. Sometimes I think they made all this changes and involved Gimple just to destroy FTWD because I don't see the point of creating a clone of an already failing show in every imaginable aspect. Especially after FTWD had its best season ever.
