no disrespect to the actor he hasn't done a bad job in my opinion, but his character and role in both shows has been about as enjoyable to me as the filthily woman, in fact i probably would've enjoyed most of TWD and FTWD without Morgan at all ever being part of anything after s1.

I agree he is a good actor, it's just like you said his story line is not enjoyable to watch and it makes me hate the character.

Morgan doesn't contribute barely anything to the shows other than his internal struggles about killing people, swinging a stick around, and being a massive liability to absolutely any group he finds himself a part of. after a while that batmanish "no kill" rule really starts getting old and makes stuff predictable, boring and stale.

His story has been played out. He tried to protect his family. He lost his family. He struggled to find peace with it. But then he did. That was it, but instead of pushing him to the side or letting him die... they shove him to the front and keep rehashing the same. This was their biggest mistake in Season 4, to make everything about Morgan.

Just this calendar year, we've lost Nick and Madison. Dead.
This year, we've lost Carl. Dead. In just a few weeks, we will somehow lose Rick Grimes, and then Maggie for some time. Remember the poster for Survival Sunday? Rick on the left, Madison on the right, Morgan in the middle. In 2018, we will have lost them both. Who would have imagined this 6 months ago? |
