Quite often in the fan fic thread we talk about Clarke being called "Princess," and how we dislike it... have you guys seen this post on tumblr, in response to someone sharing their thoughts about if Clarke were to die, that the last thing she would hear is Lexa's voice and then "Ai hod yu in. Reshop, Skai Prisa"? I think the response is spot on.

Lexa has NEVER adressed Clarke by anything else than her name or the position she held (Ambassador; princess is not a position Clarke ever was in). Lexa would NEVER mock Clarke by calling her princess.

“Princess” is what Finn called her to mock and annoy her, it is canon she DISLIKES it very much. Then Bellamy copies Finn and calls her that, always in a disrespectful manner. Calling Clarke princess is implying she was leading the delinquents only because Abby held a position of power in the ark, not because she is a capable leader. Calling her a princess makes her defenseless and in need of a saviour knight in armor and that’s as far away as possible from who Clarke or Lexa are. Lexa isn’t Clarke’s knight nor does Clarke need one.

They are equals, both powerful and inspiring leaders that can take care of themselves.

Even if Lexa called her that once because she heard others adressing Clarke as such, she would notice Clarke’s annoyance at the nickname and never again say it.

Clarke is not a princess, Arkadia is not a monarchy and Abby is not a Queen. Clarke can very well take care of herself and Lexa would never insult Clarke like this.

I love that I discovered them. But hate the emotion and pain that came with it so in that respect parts of me wishes I never watched the show to begin with. It's bit blurred with me

i often wonder what happened if i never discovered the show. surely i could have saved myself a lot of tears, emotions and trouble but on the other hand i wouldn't want to miss Clexa in my life.
