 I'm not sure if she would have said it when she went looking for Clarke / the gunshots. I don't think she would have wanted to put that "weight" on Clarke knowing she was going back to Arkadia. She may have seen it to be unfairly timed, if you know what I mean? But then again at the same time, it shows that she was counting on meeting again because she does love her.
