This Clarke we see now no longer sees the possibility of having her own life, of a life free from the responsibility of leading her people. Remember her words to Lexa? "Maybe someday you and I will owe nothing more to our people?" I think this Clarke believes that someday will never happen. Lexa is gone. Her parents are gone. There is no safety net. She has accepted that she has to live and die for her people. There is nothing else.
