A Hisense 4K Roku TV with an Amazon Fire Stick Lite plugged in.

It sounds like I just described a car or something. I get all the apps I want with my Roku; I only added the Fire Stick because it has a browser, which lets me watch some extra videos.

It's nice being able to stream the tennis matches of my choice. Hard to imagine watching the sport on a network again.

Are firesticks worth it?

^ If you want a browser, I'd say yes. That is the only reason I bought it. My Fire Stick Lite was about $25. The Lite model comes without TV controls, which I don't need, since I only use it occasionally.

Like I said, Roku is great, but having a browser gives me access to those videos that aren't on apps.

In that case, I wouldn't ever recommend Amazon Fire over Roku, except to people who have to have Twitch.tv (not me), though I hear that there are still ways to get that on Roku.

Amazon just doesn't get it. Roku is the leader because it's nice and simple. Amazon throws in all of these bells and whistles that they THINK are attractive, but that stuff mostly just clutters up the screen, even with the new design.
