Didn't like them either, the story was thin and women were all damsel in distress type of characters or trying to look hot for guys. But michael bay is sexist. This movie luckily is not directed by michael bay, has a female writer and a female lead character. I hope it will be better.

i liked the first movie but that was it. and Michael Bay...well he filmed The Island which i really liked. but i heard also a lot of bad things about his behavior towards women.

The island is literally his only really good work where scarlett's character isn't a damsel in distress, but most of his other work is meh. Either way I'm looking forward to bumblebee. It has a female lead with a male sidekick who this time is a black guy (not white as in all the other transformer movies). Also hailee very multi-ethnical she's european (scottish, english, irish, german and polish.jewish) but also a bit african-american and philipino.

I liked the other Transformers too but when it comes to action movies I just enjoy the effects and the plot. Anyways, I am sure Bumblebee will be better than the Transformers movies since I love Bumblebee the most.
