Christmas movies are built on a foundation of sweet simplicity of optimism, where believing in belief is enough to fix most of the world's problems. Bad Santa is the only movie in recent years that nails the cynical twist and the Christmas spirit. That's why it is so good compared to the recent Christmas movies in the past decade.

true, most of the movies are just dumb or not surprising at all. and not funny/romantic, or just too cliché.

i do like them too but career wise they do no good to most actors. i hope Emilia's movie will be something different also because Emma Thompson wrote it and it's Last Christmas. and has Emilia
