that was what i was thinking too while watching! Whip thinks of himself as Michael's best friend but it seems like Michael hasnt told him anything about his brother who this all started for, his wife who he met because of all of this, and his son who again he has because of all of this. How can Whip NOT know even about Linc?

As much as I do like the dynamic between Michael and Whip, it seems that Whip is indeed viewing Michael as his best friend. But Michael didn't tell him anything about himself.

tbh I dont think it shocks Whip that Michael is holding stuff back, he doesnt seem hurt by it, he just seems surprised that he's known this guy for so many years but doesnt even know about his family, who he clearly loves more than anything. Whip is probably like "Why didnt he tell me?" and then definitely, yes, realizing that he doesnt actually know this person who he's been sharing his cell with for the past 4 years

yeah, it definitely feels like a confused kind of look. Because he thought he knew Michael (although did he know his real name? Hard to say) but seems Michael has kept some things from Whip.

I was wondering the same thing too! Because they carefully avoided Whip saying ANY name other than Kaniel and even then I dont think Whip called Michael by any name. So I was wondering if he actually knew his name was Michael Scofield, cuz he seemed shocked when he said "There's a boy in Ithaca New York, Mike Scofield, if I dont make it tell him his father loves him very much". Makes me think he only knew Michael as Kaniel Outis and not Michael Scofield.

But yet, there was that episode where he was telling him it was only a name, and mentioned if he "become Kaniel" in solitary. So that makes me think he knows Kaniel isn't his name, but maybe he doesn't know his real name? It's a bit confusing.

I was thinking this....could Michael of even given him the name 'Michael'? As you said, he seemed surprised that he didn't know the name Mike Scofield and that he was a Father.

Will be interesting to see more of Whip and what he does know. But the most important things to Michael...that really make him who he is and who he fights for is his Family, he doesn't know that about him....do you really know Michael Scofield if you don't know of the love he has for his family? Look forward to seeing those scenes i must admit.

I just remember Augustus in a fantasy film called "The Secret of Moonacre" its a really cool film and you get to hear his full English accent in it. Maybe its because i'm a Brit so have seen him in more things that have been mainly released over here. I think he's a great actor.
