Yes, and that is true here as well. Younger generations everywhere seem to be more accepting of differences, so perhaps one day there will be no more persecution of minorities in the world.

A couple of months before, the Greek Parliament voted for the civil partnership between homosexual (and heterosexual) couples prompted by the sudden death of a famous Greek actor. In his funeral, his long time partner (also an actor) talked about the rights of the homosexual people. Until then, no one knew about the late's actor sexual orientation.

Good for the Greek Parliament! When governments stop stigmatizing minorities, the populace will soon follow.
