I think there was a really great moment between these two in 1x05... When Alex gave her statement to the unknown she was talking about how horrible it is that none of those that know you best believe you. That it hurt. And Shelby's face there, she had glassy eyes as had Alex. I loved that moment.

Same here. I thought it had something to do with information or secrets Alex found out about Shelby's parents. I'm not sure though.
