Yeah I mean that's my thoughts exactly, It would all make Sense to me. Which if it were in fact the Case I'd Dislike Clayton even more

But it makes me wonder is he really manipulating him. Because someone said the name we saw him use in the bank scene at the end of the winter finale, was the name he used in the cult, if that's the case is his father manipulating him.
I think they said his father wanted him out or was the reason he got pulled out or something I can't recall, but what if Caleb's dad is part of the cult in some form secretly and is manipulating Caleb for the cult.

That is what I'M Thinking as Well!! I don't know if that's the Caleb/Shelby Shipper in me (because if that's the case, she'll be mad at Clayton and will get back together with Caleb) ,wishful thinking on my Part (because I love the Character of Caleb) or What But It just makes me wonder Is he Manipulating Caleb and Is he a part of the Cult??

I remember them saying that his mom wanted to get him out early, but his dad wanted him to stay in there to help bring them down. They mentioned they barely got him out just in time, didn't realized how far gone he was.

See this is why I think Caleb's dad is involved somehow and is also in Said Cult. I know (I can't remember where it was said and what ep) that Caleb had said His dad infiltrated the Cult to get him out But what if there was more to it then that? Clearly His Mom and Dad don't get along ,it just seems like there's so much more to it then that.

I posted this in the episode 2 discussion but at the end of episode 2 it shows Caleb looking at a FB profile. It reveals each picture with glasses with the name he used in the cult. Also there was a post of a picture of the book that Caleb pointed out to Shelby in the reconstructed crime scene they were doing.

I can't even remember what Caleb even said the book was about when he pointed it out to Shelby. But watching it and noticing it in hindsight I feel like that was a very important I'm guessing clue

I'm not sure. If he is being brainwashed by his dad it could depend on the level of it.
