Spinning to forget that he’s lost (well, given up nobly) his chance to be with Belle....my heart hurts still.....

When he said that it was his price to pay..... (and I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, just saw a couple of videos and mostly GIFs).....wow...he did the right and beautiful thing, but he has paid an extraordinarily high price, and he’s shattered -you can see his eyes are red, and he can’t even look at Hook. He realizes that it may be a long time, if ever, before he sees Belle again, and it’s tearing him up inside. It’s tearing me up as well - as Alice said in Beauty, he gave up everything ....I want to hug him so much; Belle is SO proud of him...

I just watched the Guardian - it’s a brilliant episode. Regarding Rumple acting like the Imp in the heart crushing scene, I feel like his turning lizard (oddly, more green than lizards) was a manifestation of the darkness emerging in his soul again, the same way Zelena’s turning green reflected her jealousy. I like that. I’d already seen the “Rumbelle” scenes, but their better in context. I love that Rumple talks to Belle, and that while Facilier claims to hear her, Rumple really does (ok, it’s a memory, but still). I’m tearing up at his sacrifice - I’m so proud of him

That troll scene - wow. Bobby killed me - Rumple thinks he’s lost his best, last chance at seeing Belle - not to mention that he stole magic meant for Henry; his crying made me cry. I loved how happy he was for Alice/Robin, but how devastated personally because he gave up his chance to be with Belle. The way he says he’ll “spin spin spin” as he retreats into the woods is heartbreaking. As to the R/R scene, at first he’s defensive despite how badly he feels. I love how he already fears he hasn’t changed even before she says he hasn’t...

I do that eppy and agreed, as soon as I saw in the first scene with Facilier, I thought oh dear, the darkness has grabbed hold again

I wanted to give him a big hug in the Troll scene. The pain and anguish you see on his face, knowing that he's thinking now all is lost...

Rumple was so desperate to get back to Belle........ it was really ingenious of the writers to go there. Ugh, his CRYING made MY soul cry.......
