I just read a theory on tumblr that with the show showing us different people as the same characters, Alice could be the new Dark One

That would definitely be a connection to Rumple.

Yeah, given how much Alice resembles Rumple (even those recently released episode stills of her give me a sort of "mad Rumple in the dungeon" vibe), I'm leaning toward her being some kind of EF 2.0 Dark One. That would explain why Rumple is so curious about her. Or maybe she's his long-lost cousin/half-sister

or she could be curious about him......, I'm sort of getting more and more in the "Dark One 2.0" camp. You watch it will be totally something different no one has thought of

As long as she's not a new love interest, I'm happy with any character she might be.

My top favorite theories:
1. Rumbelle's daughter (and she is trying to get him to remember who he really is)
2. Belle's sister
3. Dark One 2.0
4. Rumple's long lost sister
