Empire 3x06 "Chimes at Midnight" Episode Discussion [11/16/2016]
3x06 "Chimes at Midnight" Empire is hacked and the leak creates feuds between artists and among the Lyon family. Andre takes advantage of the leak to step up and prove his worth to the company. Meanwhile, Lucious continues to try and drive a wedge between Cookie and Angelo, and Jamal finds himself in a love triangle. |

Started this early since I won't be here live for this episode. I should return on Friday and watch this episode over the weekend or so.
 Judging from the promo, I'm upset with the writers setting up a love triangle between brothers.  URG! hopefully it's not the case.Also, Jamal/Cookie.  YES! |

Accidentally I found out about it and watched it, couldn't help myself  I still tried to keep the spoilers very vague hoping not to affect anyone's pleasure because there are twists in this episode. Seemed so to me that there are many triangles, possibly with Jamal too imo but I wouldn't call Nessa-Hakeem-Andre a triangle that easily tbh. __________________

I Looove them! They are so cute! Definitely the best part of the episode for me! I loved the whole episode it was interesting and twisted! ANDRE what you doing there? why? is he back to his old bad ways  I don't like him with Nessa at all! No chemistry at all imo. I MISS RHONDAS GHOST Hakeem  him trying to stop the flirting between Nessa and Andre while they were performing was so ridiculous.. does he really think he can against Andre? Andre is literally sex god and he is a kid  Cookies nudes As much as I love Angelo and Cookie... it felt so good to see Lucious freaking out that way when he saw the nudes... it kinda meant he cares and is furious others get to see Cookie that way, it was kinda cute  Jamal drama drama drama with his 2 guys __________________

Angelo is doing the most, I dont know something seems off about his attachment to Cookie. What the hell? this ep was full of double crossing each other, Becky got doubled cross which I have no idea why she would trust that fool. Andre stepping over to the dark side double crossing his entire family and Graham, I thought Hakeem was the a$$hole but Andre got him beat now.
Thirsty made me laugh, never thought I would be glad to seem him but with all this shady business going on I welcome his antics lol. Luciuos getting that perm please stop. Jamal pain killer addiction is getting out of hand, I knew the moment Cookie sent those photos they would leak somehow. This ep...was all over the place and I cant process it fully __________________

Watching this episode now!
The episode starting with Cookie and Angelo.  I really am just loving their friendship. I love how Cookie and Angelo haven't slept together yet. Love how Cookie is staying strong with her body right now.Seems like Tiana song is interrupting everyone to start off the episode. and no one can stop it.Lucious and Anika acting married again.  lolLucious being like a father to Bella though. lol Oh Tiana song interrupting them as well... "Lucious Lyon... you got got..." I think that was the quote I saw. Cyber security. An Empire hack. Lucious doesn't think that it's Tariq who caused this. Wait is Lucious getting a perm? Makes sense at why his hair always looks the way it looks. lolNessa and Hakeem singing together and obviously Hakeem flirting through the music and Hakeem trying to make the moves on Nessa. I just dislike this whole thing.  Andre here to talk Hakeem and Hakeem still acting childish, acting like Andre knew about his feelings that aren't really that real. I love Andre putting Hakeem in his place as big brother when Nessa left. Lucious is upset because he's trying to find out who hacked Empire! Totally understand his anger. Andre his right hand man as the early season 1 days...Lucious isn't taking the threats from the hacker seriously. That's totally Lucious! Gotta love Angelo Major speech, over there talking about my hometown (his) New York City ... the other part of the speech was good as well. lol An emergency Empire board meeting. Andre calling everyone dirty secrets out in the board meeting. Great to see Thirsty here again. lol Yeah... you don't want those leak emails getting out. Gram is so wack!! Oh and Gram calling out Tiana as well. lol I loved Becky in the scene. Tiana calm down. You are sad but throwing down against Cookie isn't logical. lolEveryone's email is out. That's why you gotta be careful about what you send....Empire is in some danger.... Uh-oh.... Cookie nude pictures. Aww the children.I love how Cookie was embarrassed but still being strong. lol Wow Lucious made a Ray J reference. lol Well obviously.... Shine did not do the hack, it doesn't seem like his style. lol I loved that Shine and Cookie's interaction. The hackers still is threatening Lucious, what will he does... "Boy bye." Becky you go ahead girl. lol...Of course Becky is smart but she is so overlooked with Empire... and she's really trusting the guy who hung her out to dry last week... umm I'm confused? who knows probably by the end of the episode, I'll be shocked... Aww Jamal reading some bad emails about his sexuality. Jamal's therapist Philip worried that Jamal might go downhill again... Seems like D-Major is a bit jealous. WOw. Now songs are getting erased.The hackers are in the system... wow this company is in danger right now. Angelo and Cookie scene, aww Cookie looks so great. I love how Angelo is being by Cookie's side completely though. Firing who disrespects her. Aww Cookie wants to break up with Angelo because she believes him being with her will ruin his campaign and everything. Aww great scene.  And Cookie saying she's happy she didn't go to the next level with him yet.Aww seeing Cookie cry was just heartbreaking. Lucious and Andre still working together and Lucious has his firing list lined up... Oh Tiana thinks that Gram is the hacker... obviously he's not, she's just letting her hurt feelings get in the middle of things. Can't believe Lucious, Andre and company believes that Gram hacked Empire because of what Tiana said. Of course Gram is confused by the whole thing, talking about think he's Punk's. lol ANd wondering where's Ashton Kutcher's at. lol Gram as acting perfectly or he really didn't do it... Seems Gram is going to get beat down... this is so stupid though because I know for sure he didn't do it.  Dang shame how Tiana let her personal feelings mess up the investigation. Andre, President of Empire Extreme.... Ha! I love how Cookie cut off Lucious when he was introducing her. lol New head of A&R, Xavier Rosen.... yup, not even shocked. Don't get why Becky just keeps trusting Xavier, especially after last weeks episode. So pretty dumb of her to just take his word, she at least should've recorded him or something. loSeems like Thirsty and Becky will be working together. So much of Becky we are getting and I'm really proud of it! Stay strong, Jamal!! Jamal calling Derek.... Nessa and Hakeem performing on stage right now. This shows how much we all know looking outside in... Nessa is feeling Hakeem's brother more. lol Both the best performance. lol D-Major and Jamal kiss... Oh Tariq, investigating pretty good right now. Oh Jamal passed out. Phillip is here and doing a better rescue job than D-Major did. He's just better equipped to deal with that. I love how Cookie was liking all of Angelo answers. Aww Angelo was obviously sad that Cookie broke up with him. Oh great speech Angelo.  "I love you, Angelo."... oh wow. she said that to herself!I truly love this. Angelo and Nessa scene... where are they at.... I'd be a bit freaked out if I was Nessa. lol Andre meeting up with Vaughn... So, Andre was responsible for the leak... no opinion on it actually... Nessa saw the whole exchange. If anyone says Cookie/Angelo relationship is rushed, they need to say the same to Andre/Nessa. Don't know what to feel about the episode, it was good but a lot really did happen. What happened to that Jamal/Cookie scene of Jamal singing to Cookie? Probably it's the next episode... |

I guess the trailer we got before the show returned was for more episodes then
a lot happened but I really loveed it, hope the next one is as good as this one  It actually will be. Im sure it will __________________
