So do you think the writers will have Waige hit some sort of milestone in their relationship this season? Or, do you think they'll just focus on taking Waige's relationship steady? I mean, it took three years to get them to where they are now..., but I'd doubt they'd wait that long for waige to take their relationship a step further and get married or have a kid (or both!).

I don't think they're getting married or pregnant in S4. They may be living together by the end of the season, since that wouldn't really change much up, since a ton of eps already end with Waige or Waige/Ralph either leaving the garage or staying in the garage.

I think if we see any milestone, it might be a proposal, but only because as Walter feels his way through this new situation, something will convince him that it is what he's "supposed" to do.

I really hope what we do see is them learning how to communicate better. Which might involve some tensions and hurt feelings along the way. I envision something along the lines of "We were on a break!", but without the break up and sleeping with someone else.

I definitely want to see them continuing to improve their communication. They still need to work on that, and I would hate to see their relationship be either perfect communication (unrealistic) or a trainwreck (also not really realistic).

Agreed.

Walter's tendency to be very straightforward, pragmatic and just plain honest will both help and not help. As we've seen, he may sometimes say things a little too bluntly, but having gotten over the hurdle of admitting his feelings, I think he's likely to be very open with Paige. So I don't think she'll be in the dark about how he feels - but sometimes she may wish he kept certain things to himself. Sometimes, though, Walter may want to keep mum about things if he feels he doesn't have a good understanding of what's going on. So he could find that he's too open about some things, and not enough about others. Paige may be handicapped somewhat because she'll try too hard not to hurt anyone's feelings; she'll want to be the diplomatic one. Which will be difficult for Walter because she may hedge around things and hint at things and he'll have no clue what she's trying to communicate. All that could make for some angsty, but entertaining drama.

Of course, we could also have a season with nothing but them exchanging coy smiles in the garage and following each other through bedroom doors.

I do hope we see some weaknesses on Paige's front. I liked that we had her acknowledging that she was wrong in 3.24, but I hope next year, because I know we will have Walter having learning moments, we get Paige learning too. Because just because most people aren't like Walter doesn't mean Walter has to completely adjust to what a relationship between two normals is like. She has to adjust to what a relationship with a genius is like too.

Exactly. If Walter needs to learn to sometimes soften what he says, Paige needs to learn to be more direct because geniuses tend to be very literal minded.

She will need to work on realizing that he will love her differently than anyone has before (since it hasn't been said otherwise, I'm going to assume Drew is the only other person she's loved, because I feel like since she was 19 when she had Ralph he was probably her only serious relationship but I could be wrong) and that isn't him loving her less, but just as intensely in the way that he does it. I like how she had that moment of realization on that in 3.24. But my guess is she will have to keep reminding herself of it.
