Eddie's been involved in another theatre project! This Instagram post is all the information I have about it, but it sounds like it was a great experience for everyone involved.

And Eddie took the group selfie.

Glad to see Eddie is getting a chance to indulge in live theater work. I think most actors seem to prefer the live stage - but it's really hard to make a living that way, so it's more of an indulgence than a real career.

I found some more details about the play (warning for language when you click the link!):

Eventbrite

I would say plenty of actors make a decent career out of working in the theatre, but there's undoubtedly more money to be made in a film and/or TV career. I suspect many actors have a preference, but unless they're lucky enough to be in the position where they can wait for a role that excites them, they'll take whatever work is offered.

In Eddie's case, I'm guessing he's able to wait until something comes along that really grabs his attention. This particular role certainly sounds, um, interesting!

It's Halloween so that means it's Eddie's birthday!

There may be another American Pie in Eddie's future.

Like we've said here before, not the kind of movie I enjoy, but you can't argue with the popularity of the American Pie series!

I'm almost tempted to watch the series, especially if the grown-up Eddie will be in one. But I suspect it will still be as raunchy and childish as the first.

I've watched snippets of most of them now, I think, just to see Eddie - they always seem to be on TV here. He's very young in the first one!

The humour is infantile/gross and I don't find it at all funny, but I can see why some people do - probably because they're infantile/gross themselves!

It takes a lot of skill to make those characters believable and likeable and also to get the comedy timing just right so I appreciate the talent of everyone involved, but I still don't want to watch it.

It would be good for Eddie if they do make another one though, not just to raise his profile, but also I suspect it would be quite lucrative!

I enjoy dirty humor sometimes (or rather, some kinds of dirty humor) but gross humor isn't something I enjoy at all.

I would hope that the characters that are Eddie's age have grown up, and maybe the gross humor is from their kids. It would be an interesting twist to see them dealing with that - knowing they were just as bad at that age.

It would. But you're making the mistake of assuming these films have plot and character development! (From what I've seen, they're just a series of jokes about - how can I put this delicately? - bodily functions! )
