I think that episode is why we're all a bit disatisfied with this one. Seems like that guy acted more like Sly's dad had been characterized than Sly's dad did.

And we got a much better - and more believable reconciliation between them in YHSF.

I'm still curious as to what caused this obvious Price is Right plug...as unbelievably rushed as that part of the episode was.

It may not have initially been done as a plug. They may have had the idea of getting Sly on a game show - then worked to figure out which one would work out best, knowing that they would also get to plug one of their shows at the same time.

I know they do plug other CBS shows ON Price is Right - like they have had NCIS on there before, but with the show being on Scorpion rather than a Scorpion actor showing up on an actual Price is Right episode, it felt almost like Price is Right plug to me.

If it was intended to be a plug, it seems to have been a bit sloppy. It didn't really do a good job of showing what the show is really like. But it worked out well for Sly, and that's the most important thing. He's a big step closer to the Megan Dodd Pediatric Wing.
