CBS just announced their fall schedule. This is the Monday night lineup:

MONDAY
8-8:30 PM — The Big Bang Theory
8:30-9 PM — KEVIN CAN WAIT
8-8:30 PM — KEVIN CAN WAIT (starting in October)
8:30-9 PM — MAN WITH A PLAN (starting in October)
9-9:30 PM — 2 Broke Girls
9:30-10 PM — The Odd Couple
10-11 PM — Scorpion

To me, it seems like Scorpion is out of sync with a Monday night of comedy!

I am NOT thrilled about Scorpion moving to 10pm. It will be SO hard for me to stay up and watch it.

I imagine they are trying to get people hooked on their two new shows by having them lead into the established comedies. And Scorpion is sort of considered a drama with a lot of comedy elements, so maybe they think it is a good fit from that perspective.

It bothers me because it always takes at least an hour after something airs for a way for me to watch it to manifest itself, when I'm working. So when I work 3-11 and it was on from 9-10, by the time I got home, I could watch it. With it ending at 11, it'll be almost 1am before I can watch it and when I work the next day that's gonna be rough.

Where I live, Scorpion used to air at 8 pm so having it air at 9 pm isn't that bad of a transition (for me). Someone said on Tumblr that having it later could be a good thing because the audience would be older... therefore more adult themes in the show. (I don't know if that will ever be a thing for Scorpion, though, tbh.) I wish they would not pair Scorpion with a comedy show... It's so much more than comedy. I think it would fair better if it was paired with a drama show instead, in my opinion.

10pm could mean more adult things, yeah, but that was something they addressed as possible with The Mentalist and even the dark, Red John arc didn't get that much darker. 10pm is generally not a very good move for a show, regardless of what shows its paired with, unfortunately.

Just saw on TV Line that the season 3 premiere will be on October 3rd and will be a 2 hour episode.

Well, the cast either goes back to work tomorrow or Wednesday - depending on if you believe Kat or Robert.

Kat's been traveling a lot. She may understandably have her dates mixed up.

On the other hand, Robert could be wrong, too.

Or else they are talking about their own personal schedules. It may be that not the entire cast will be showing up for the first day.

That's true. It seems likely given the title for 3.01 and how the finale left off that Paige and Cabe may have quite a few scenes separate from each other.
