Although the sentimental person in me came up with this idea: Walter would have likely gotten all of Megan's things from the hospital, including her guitar. She hadn't played in a while because she didn't have the fine motor control, but remembering her play helps him to develop an emotional connection to the music, which comes out when it plays it for Paige.

Totally headcanon. But it wouldn't surprise me if she was musical or artistic before she became too ill to pursue it.

Actually the whole thought started because I was trying to figure out why Walter might even have a guitar. I'm not sure why someone who doesn't appreciate music would have a piano, but I figure that came with the garage - in some weird way. It came to me pretty quickly that he might have a guitar if Megan had one. It made sense to me that Megan might have one. We know she loved to dance, so it's not a stretch to think she might have been musical.

Well, we (and by we I mean me and some other people and I have no idea if you were in on this convo or not) headcanoned that she played the ukulele, so Meg being musical was definitely in a lot of people's heads. This may be where Kim is subconsciously drawing Walter playing that from.

No, I don't think I was in on that, but I can totally see Meg with a ukulele. It would fit so well with her offbeat, fun-loving character. Walter playing a ukulele to serenade Paige would be 1000% adorable!
