When Happy first said she recorded a single, I thought it sounded completely out of character, but I really liked the explanation she gave in this episode. It actually worked for me and the video was hilarious. I wonder what else we'll learn about Happy next season.

What I really liked was, the day after Rock Block aired, my old roommate said to me "I get why Dem Bones was a Toby song but what part of it was a mixture of him and Happy?" and I said I thought it was how the remix was put together was something she'd appreciate, then when she was explaining the single she mentioned putting music together and I was like yessss.

I wonder if the writers will move on from this, or if we'll continue to learn surprising things about Happy throughout season 4.

There's a good chance it might just be a one-episode thing. Although we didn't know much about Happy before, there was never any indication that she had this globe-trotting life. I would hope that they don't drop it completely. And there are so many of those little gags that they've done throughout the series - like the honeymoon costume gag and Toby's "Oh my <insert body part>!" thing, and Happy's "Not Good" - including Toby protesting how often she says it. So they obviously like running gags.

Yeah, I could definitely picture them using this as a new running gag. If they do continue, I just hope they keep the secrets at least somewhat realistic and true to Happy's character. They managed to explain her Portuguese single in a reasonably believable way, but I think it would be really easy for it to start feeling too far-fetched.

Yeah. I think they may have pushed the envelope just a bit on the believability. (Seriously, Jake Gyllenhaal?) But my issues with the stories have more to do with the likelihood of packing all that living into her short life before Scorpion than they do with the nature of the stories themselves.

Happy's dad left her the keys to his garage and tow truck before he went to prison. I'd love to hear some mention in season 4 of her trying to keep his business somewhat up and running for him while he's gone. I feel like Happy would channel her emotions into something practical like that.
