I think this will be a episode where Paige can be the smart one since she is the athlete even if the plot is a little unrealistic

I think one of the main points of the show is that Paige *is* the smart one - in certain areas. Sports would definitely be one of those areas, although outside of being a cheerleader and having a child with a baseball player, we don't really know if Paige knows all that much about sports. Still, she undoubtedly knows more than the geniuses.

What I would like to see is a chance for Paige to be the one who comes up with a crazy idea to save the day - and this would be the perfect episode for that.

I loved the Walter/Cabe Father/Son bits - especially Walter coming right out and calling theirs a Father/Son relationship, and him being so anxious not to disappoint his new father (Cabe) in the way he did his other father.

I think my favorite comedy moment was when Paige went up to the Press Box. That was CLASSIC!

Yeah, that really got to me.

And YES. "By gooty, do you mean wiener?" The word choice there made it even funnier to me, because there are SO many different words, and that one is always one I associate kids with using, so the big tough guy announcer using it just amplified the humor.

It was a little creepy how much the announcer liked having Paige yell at him. Like, Mommy issues, much? Surprisingly, I thought the episode was not nearly as heavy-handed with the innuendo around balls as they might have been.

I am concerned that pretty much everyone knows about Walter and Flo going to the lecture together EXCEPT Paige and Ralph. That is so obviously setting Walter up for a fall. Even if Paige is able to understand that the outing was completely innocent, being the last to know is going to rankle, and she's going to be upset that Walter kept a secret from her - despite the fact that it's a secret she instructed him to keep based on her white lies lesson. I really dread what poor Walter is in for with this, since his logical mind won't be able to process the contradiction.

And when it does come out he's very likely to make it worse since he's not great at explaining stuff when he's flustered.

Exactly. He's very prone to putting his foot in his mouth and when Paige's emotions are high, she tends to forget Walter's issues and expects him to act and speak "normally" - which makes things worse when he can't.

I have to say that Walter and Cabe totally were awesome in this episode.

I started out thinking, oh great another Walter messing up the team episode. But no! That wasn't the case.

They find out they have to play baseball and everyone is upset. Walter says nothing even thought I figured he probably couldn't play either.

Then he makes sure he rides with Cabe. I didn't think anything about it. I'm just expecting a light hearted episode. Walter controls his emotions so much. I had no idea he was upset. I didn't see any of that coming.

Then we find out he had the key the whole time, and his emotions come pouring by out in front of Cabe. Wow!! All I can say is wow. That scene is going to be one of my all time favorites.

I love when Elyes gets scenes like that. He is so incredible with them, the way he yelled at first then his voice broke. It reminded me of the excellence of S1!! And Cabe had tears in his eyes. Perfection

And Walters speech to the team at the end when he told them how he appreciated them! That was S1Walter who knew how to care about people. Sometimes I think we've lost that along the way.

I thought the episode great! Just had to share.

I really wish that Walter could explain his actions to Paige in the same way he did to Cabe. But as anxious as he was not to derail his relationship with Cabe, I think he is 100x as anxious where Paige is concerned and it works against him.

Elyes is amazing in those sorts of scenes. He acts with his whole person. He face, his stance, his voice - everything reflects the difficulty that Walter is having expressing and dealing with his emotions. It's brilliant.

It will be interesting to see if Happy gets over her animosity towards Flo.
