It is interesting. It's not like it's a run-of-the-mill relationship because of who they are and the nature of their jobs. I mean, it's hard to relate to the problems of the Secretary of State. But one thing I like about it is that is shows they have a lot of the same problems as everyday couples do - like making time for their kids and school obligations, and supporting each other through issues with their extended families, and dealing with kids whose decisions aren't quite every parent's dream. I still can't quite imagine Madeline Albright going through a lot of this stuff, but Hillary Clinton? Maybe so.

Yeah, definitely. I can't even imagine being in the shoes of someone like that and trying to manage a family. I can barely manage myself.

I didn't actually watch the Kentucky / UNC game. My brother told me it was a heart-stopper.

I was doing incredibly well until Nova and Kansas (my winning pick) went down, and until Xavier kept winning.

Now I have to figure out if I can watch the UNC / Oregon game. It's on late on Saturday, so I might not be able to even stay awake. But if I do, and it's another close one, I'm not sure I can take it.

I've finally realized that I just don't have the time - or the energy - to clean house anymore so I'm trying out a maid service on Wednesday. I hope it works out because I really HATE housework. The company has good reviews, but so far I haven't been overly impressed with their response to e-mails.

So the maids came and they did an AMAZING job. I think I'm going to enjoy having maids. They spent about an hour and a half and everything is just shiny and clean. Now I don't want to touch or use anything!

So my Kentucky trip has been marred. My car is 7 years old only, but has over 150,000 miles on it. It broke down on me down here and they said it isn't worth fixing. So not only do I not have a car, I'm paying out my ass for a rental (I'm not 25 yet so there's a young driver fee on top of everything else) I have to have my mother drive 6 hours one way to get me tomorrow and then my unemployed self who has student loans AND just bought a non refundable plane ticket, and I need to buy a car.

That's really awful, Nicole. When I first saw your post about this, I thought the car must be older. Only 7 years - that's really a shame. I hope you manage to find a decent replacement.
