I cooked too much. We have a family of 5 people, including me, and we always have enough food for about 20. But my niece appreciates it. She and her husband both work, so the leftovers means she won't need to cook for a few days.

My parents (and sister and her fiance, but they don't live with us) are all gone until Saturday afternoon to my grandparents'. My anxiety makes being in this creaky house at night alone a bit unnerving, but overall I'm glad to have time to myself.

I hear you. I'm introverted to the point of being almost a hermit, so I love living alone. But sometimes the creaks and groans of this old house are creepy.

I've channeled this into something constructive and am about halfway through cleaning my room - and when I say it's a mess, I mean it. There were stacks of stuff as high as me in there. I only ever use it to sleep, so as long as the bed was cleared off and there was a path to it, I was good. Plus, depression can make you clutter and then overwhelm you when you think about cleaning it up. So I'm taking advantage of this rare actual desire to clean.

One thing I'm trying hard to do in the new house is not to allow it to get cluttered. Which is one reason I've been very slow unpacking. I don't want to unpack a box and not have a place designated for what's in the box. So I unpack 2 or 3 boxes and then work on organizing where the stuff goes.
