I am enjoying it. I used to binge read a lot - I'd easily do 10 or 20 chapters - often entire stories - in a single sitting. I rarely read WIPs until they were complete. But I think I like this way. I'm still pretty much reading complete works - so I know the next chapter is out there ready for me - but reading a chapter a day gives me time to enjoy the story and gives me some of the anticipation of waiting for the next chapter - without driving me crazy.

Of course, hopefully one day I will catch up and then I'll be back to waiting for the next chapter to come out.

I used to be an updating machine. My Scorpion fic Serendipity, I know Heidi read that one, I posted 84 chapters in 8 months. To compare, A Conflict of Parallels was 54 chapters and took 7 months. (Coincidental fun fact I'm the only one that cares about, I started both fics in January; Serendipity on January 23rd, 2016, and Conflict on January 16th, 2018.) My first long-ish TBBT fic, it took me exactly six months to write 83 chapters.

And now I'm like "hey guys expect an update in one or three weeks."

For several months I was posting one new chapter for Sly Down and one for Sunshine and Sea Air per week! I don't know how I did it?

I want to give a shout out to one of my favorite Scorpion fanfiction writers Scorpion Training she seems to have a never ending supply of fix it flicks she just finished a multi chapter one then crank out two one shots Budding Genius and Woom for Improvement I don't think she is on this forum but just wanted to show my appreciation to her she is making the cancellation easier to take with her great stories I hope she never runs out

I assume you are referring to ScorplinginTraining? I agree she is a great writer and one of those who has been able to write multiple fix-it scenarios. I'm happy to see there is still an active Scorpion fan fiction community and long may it continue.

I wish fanfiction writers were writing the series they would have done it without Tim or Florence causing problems for Waige. I am not saying do not have them on the show just write them so they are not a threat to Waige

If the show hadn't been cancelled, that might not be entirely out of the question. There was an X-Files fan fiction writer who got a contract to write a couple of TXF novels sanctioned by the production company.

And Ronald D Moore, who has had a huge career as writer/producer/showrunner on various TV series, was - if the stories are true - visiting the set of Star Trek:TNG as a fan and handed someone a script he'd written which they loved so much they hired him as a writer!

Anyway, I've finally posted the final chapter of The T-Word.

And I'm on a roll now, I've just posted Chapter 1 of Volume 2 of my Sunshine and Sea Air series. I can't wait to get my teeth into writing this story, it's been a long time coming!
