I like that Veronica is pro-Waige, but I'm concerned that her methods for helping Walter will be less than honest - and may actually drive a wedge between Paige and Walter. After the mess in Tahoe, if Walter wants to win Paige back he must be totally above board about his methods.

I've talked about it in specifics on Tumblr, like what I hope Veronica does, but yeah, if she's got some trick-scheme, I'm gonna be annoyed. If she's gonna just try and help them bond - so like help them find their way rather than forcing them in a direction - then I'm completely on board.

I may have the unpopular opinion here, but I'm sort of glad that Paige let Veronica stay for Thanksgiving. Every other instance where we've had parents, there's been some level of rapprochement. Walter and his parents have improved their communications, at least somewhat. Sly and his dad - while they still don't have any understanding of each other, they are at least talking and they did manage to work together. Happy and her dad have had probably the biggest turnaround, since she's gone to him when she was troubled and needed some answers. If Paige wasn't able to at least allow the doors to open a crack, it would seem to indicate that she's actually less emotionally mature than the geniuses. I'm not saying she should forgive her mother completely - and she certainly shouldn't trust her - but allowing her mom this small concession is much better and more mature than holding onto a life-long animosity.

And I am kinda glad she stayed too - if only because I love the actress and if Paige and Ronnie form a relationship that obviously increases the odds of seeing her more.

Heidi, I think my disagreement with you here is colored by experience.
Some people just don't change.
And yes, on the one side you can argue that people still can change and deserve new chances. But I got the impression that Paige hád already given her mother some chances. So I was okay with her denying her mother contact.

I don't think Paige had any intention of letting Ronnie meet Ralph - just like at first, she wasn't going to let Drew see him, either. But in this case, Ralph sort of forced the issue by coming into the room and saying "grandma?"

That, plus the wink, is what makes me think somehow those two already know each other. Not that they're besties or pen pals, but I feel like they had to have had contact prior to this, which led to him putting himself into the situation that caused Paige to relent.

I would have understood if Paige did send Ronnie away. As you say, Paula, she may have already given her mother many chances and everyone has their limits in that regard. But since she *did* let Ronnie stay, I'm not against it, and since it does open the door for us to see more of Lea Thompson - I'm definitely all for that.
