Why are people bitching about Molly's ethnicity? Real Molly looks like your average white lady with a tan so I don't see how Jessica's ethnicity could be wrong given she's a white lady too (except she had to fake tan )

@Ana exactly. Plus, this is a biopic (although her rl attorney was/is white, so they took some liberties with the casting).

As for her age, Jessica is not playing a 26 year old throughout the film. Molly Bloom (b. 1978) was 36 during the trial in 2014, which is when the movie ends. So what if she's playing a woman in her mid/late 20s and 30s? I say she can pull it off.

People have no qualms about being jerks when it comes to a woman's look. You have Jennifer Lawrence playing characters meant for actresses a decade older but everyone is a-okay, then Jessica is starting off as a character that's younger and suddenly it's oh, not convincing. Granted aging someone up is harder than aging them down but not every 26 year-old looks the same.
