Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

While our current look was satisfying in every possible way, change is very welcome

Pictures:

▸Photoshoot #1: I absolutely adore these two pictures but sadly they are the only two from this photoshoot. I know you prefer to work with the same photoshoot but maybe you could work with a third picture from a different shoot? Perhaps this one?

▸Photoshoot #2: Love this one as well, and even though some of the pictures are fairly filtered through, it seems they're overall good to work with.

▸Photoshoot #3: Another great shoot, and most of the pictures fit the GT criteria (no effects or heads chopped off, for example).

▸Photoshoot #4: I adore the 3 colored pictures in the second row, especially because of her hair Not sure if you could work with them because they seem pretty edited, as far as smoothness/exposure goes but maybe once they're resized/edited by the GT it won't look too obvious?

These would be my suggestions because they're both usable and recent but the gallery I linked is filled with great photoshoots so if you happen to find a different one you think works best, I'm all for it. If you do decide using different pictures than the ones I linked, would it be possible to pick options where Jess has shorter and/or wavy hair? I usually prefer when her hair is not super straight and of course that's just my preference but if everyone else agrees, please keep that in mind

Color schemes:

Pink is my favorite color and I love our current scheme but I'm 100% up for a total revamp of colors for the new look. Ironically I'm not too crazy about the color green but all the schemes I picked have prominently green shades I do think it's a great color for Jess though.

▸Scheme #1: This scheme is really beautiful, elegant and seems easy on the eyes. It would be my first choice.

▸Scheme #2: I particularly like the #E6FDC1 & #F4F8E0 shades for a main background.

▸Scheme #3: This one is more "sober" than the other two but I think it could work as well.

As I usually do with these threads, I wrote an essay Hope these were useful and I'm looking forward to more opinions. Either way, I know our board is in great hands and I'm sure the GT will, yet again, deliver a look that will make us happy.

I'd love Scheme #1 in combination with probably photoshoot 4? there was this adorable smiling picture plus, I love her shorter hair .

Shoot #4 is from 2016. Would you prefer something more recent than that or are you happy to use an older picture?

I wouldn't mind going with that shoot because I really love her with shorter hair (which happens to be the hair she's sporting now while filming IT: Part II). I think anything between 2015-2018 is fair game since she hasn't made any drastic changes during that period.

Agreed. I feel okay with that look too, as she has gone back to it at the moment with the shorter hair

Keep in mind that you'll likely have the new customisation for 3-4 years so if you go back to 2015/2016 that'll make the customisation 6/7 years old so it may appear outdated sooner. We prefer to look at photoshoots from 2018/2017 to keep things updated & fresh for you. The choice is of course yours, & I agree she doesn't look all that different between the different years. I honestly don't know how noticeable the hair length will be in the graphic though since its still a decent length so you probably wouldn't see how long it is regardless of which photoshoot was used

That's true but in our current banner we can tell the hair is longer (probably because I know the original pictures though), since her short hair is usually wavier and she wears it differently than when it's long. But really I don't mind if you use older pictures, as long as she has short hair in those. If the hair is long, I'd prefer newer pictures then. I tend to be more curious about the color scheme since it's what you see all the time when you're browsing through threads I trust the GT so whatever you guys think works best is fine by me.

It doesn't bother me, its just odd when you've got 2017 & 2018 photoshoots to choose from & it wouldn't be much of an update (unless you used old pictures last time too) since we last did the board in 2016

The pictures in the current banner are from 2015 so they were new then

Stupid me, I forgot to link a great shoot from 2018! It's this one, and pretty much all the pictures are usable. So if you decide for something new(er) this would be a great choice. I'm just pissed that the one where she has the biggest smile is in b&w
