I registered on a website years ago, and used to read more than post in the film news section, but the misogynistic, sexist, ageist and overall mean-spirited comments made it impossible for me to keep going back.

Days after the Weinstein story broke, I went back to that site because I was curious to see their reaction since they live for awards and Weinstein (has) excelled at that. And I must say that I was surprised with their reaction, the majority knew who was the one to blame in this. And I think this user explains it all perfectly well:

Ok, so? I still think it was tone-deaf of her to bring up her own experiences with him, it was completely irrelevant to the issue at hand. I honestly couldn't give a crap about Matt Damon, I think he's an ass for several reasons - including mansplaining privilege and racism to a WOC while interrupting her - so to me there's no point in continuing this debate.
