I saw the first movie weeks ago and thought it was OK. All the creepy adult characters

I found them to be unsettling, poor kids. But just like with the mini series I'm more interested in the adult part of the story. Points for using XTC's Dear God

I don't remember much of the mini series but in the book the children's part was easier to get through. As usual, Stephen King makes his books unnecessarily long so there came a point during the adult part where it was basically 20 pages about a character isn't even relevant to the whole story. Character development is great, but King goes overboard with it.

I'd say the good parts really don't last long in his stories

like, if a story has a happy ending there'll be 2 pages spent on it tops
