You're not supposed to think too hard about it

My idea is that he can lend the Speed Force to the things he touches, this way he can speed up the cooking and the computer itself works faster when he looks up info online.

Most TV shows don't make sense all the time. They are meant for our entertainment. It would be boring if everything made perfect sense. Even real life doesn't always make sense.
