Possible Board Closure Discussion: Please Read and Respond!
 

Petra and I have been discussing this, and we think that it may be time to close this board. Our post counts have been declining over the past few months and we have very few regular posters. As you know, Fan Forum requires that we average at least 15 posts per day, with lower numbers than that leading to warnings and then possible closure of the board. We would prefer to go out under our own terms rather than be forced to close due to low post counts.

Please let us know what you think. We'd be glad to hear any suggestions or advice to renew interest here. Remember that to keep the board going, we need the commitment of a few regular, dedicated posters. As much as we love this board, please don't just post to "save" the board and then disappear again, because we'll be in the same position that we're in now if you do. We also would need at least one member who would consider and step up to permanently moderate this board.

This decision was on my mind for months, in fact. Even when The Flash was airing, the Grant Gustin board was rarely visited by many regular members here and the members that do visit on a more regular basis generally post on only one or two threads. The conversations on this board is roughly 85% about his Barry Allen portrayal on The Flash, and there does not seem to be a great deal of love towards Grant Gustin as a person. I understand that it is difficult to generate discussions when Grant Gustin does not attend many conventions or is very active on social media. So for all those reasons, we have come to the decision to post this thread to discuss your thoughts on possibly closing this board.

We would love to hear your feedback because you all are part of the final decision, which will determine the future of the Grant Gustin board.

We decided to start this discussion because in a majority of the threads here it seems like I'm having conversations between just my co-mod and I. Very few threads are visited by posters other than us and very infrequently too. I always get excited when I see someone other than my co-mod make a post on the board. But we often go days at a time without seeing anyone.

We can also create a Grant Gustin thread on the Celebrities board, which I feel is sufficient for our few discussions we do have about Grant and Barry/The Flash. I definitely remain a fan of Grant Gustin so will frequent that thread once I or someone else creates it.

Yer im sorry .. wish we had more to give you but lately not a lot of people have been posting even when the show was on .

So we feel best to do what is right for the baord now rather than see it go to the low post count

That's a shame but understandable its always hard to say goodbye to a board and we have a Darren/Grant thread at our board that is very popular too its just a shame not enough posters are her regularly!

If people want this board to remain open, please step up and say so on this thread. The purpose of this thread is not to announce that a board is closing, but to see if there's interest in keeping it open.
