Do we know how long the Xmas break is? I'd assume much shorter than the actual break in the airing of the eps.

Yeah, though many jobs don't have any breaks (besides on the day of the holiday) unless you ask to take off.

I'm a teacher so I also have a pretty lengthy break. Though we are doing 'work' for our classroom even during breaks. It's still nice to work in my pajamas.

By work I mean like planning for lessons and gathering materials (like books to read to the class, etc.)
