Ohh I'm the other way around, I like to watch first and read later, because odds are I'll love the book a lot more, so if I read first I tend to be too critic towards the show/movie

For me, I kind of like making my own mental image of things and people before having the adaptation's looks imposed on me

I can understand that.
I just prefer it because in all the times I've read the book first and watched later, I hated the movie/tv show.. but when it's the other way around I tend to like them both (usually the book more)

Yeah, I guess it depends on how one feels about it, both sides have their own points I'll definitely have seen the movie (a lot) before the book when I get to reading the Neverending Story
